Chicken Satay – Rida Aftab Recipe

Ingredients

    Chicken Satay

    ½ kg chicken fillet

  • 1 onion
  • 4 cloves of garlic
  • 1 tsp cumin seeds
  • 1 tsp red chili
  • 1 tsp turmeric powder
  • 1 tsp lemon grass
  • 1 tsp red chili powder
  • 1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
  • ½ tsp salt
  • 2 tbsp lemon juice
  • 4 tbsp oil
  • 6 shashlik sticks

How to make Chicken Satay

  • In a grinder, add 1 tsp lemon grass, 1 onion, 4 cloves of garlic, 2 tbsp lemon juice, ½ tsp salt and 1 tsp cumin seeds.
  • Grind together until all spices are crushed together.
  • Slice ½ kg chicken fillet lengthwise and apply grinded spices, 1 tsp turmeric powder, 1 tsp red chili powder and 1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce and keep aside for 2 hours.
  • Insert a few chicken pieces into each shashlik stick.
  • In a frying pan, heat 4 tbsp oil and shallow fry both sides for 10 minutes on medium flame.
  • Chicken Satay is ready to serve.
