How To Cut PineApple Rings and Chunks

  1. Cut off the stalky top and then the base of the pineapple.
  2. Stand the fruit upright on the cutting board, then slice off the skin in long strips, cutting from top to bottom.
  3. Follow the contour of the pineapple so that no flesh is cut off where the fruit bulges toward the middle.
  4. For pineapple rings, turn the fruit on its side and cut into slices of the desired thickness.
  5. Take a small, round cutter and cut out the hard center of each slice.
  6. For pineapple chunks, cut the fruit into thicker slices, remove the hard centers, and cut into sections.
