Taboule Salad Recipe

Taboule Salad Ingredients:

  • 4 cps boiling water
  • 2 cps bulgar wheat
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1 cp minced parsley
  • 1/4 cp minced fresh mint leaves
  • 4 tomatoes seeded and diced
  • 1 cucumber peeled and diced
  • 1/4 cp fresh lemon juice
  • 1/4 cp olive oil
  • 1/4 cp chopped black olives

How to make Taboule Salad:

  • Bring water to a boil
  • add salt
  • add bulgar
  • let stand about 15 minutes or untill all water has been absorbed
  • fluff with fork and place in large bowl
  • add parsley and mint leaves
  • add olives, tomatoes and cucmbers
  • mix well
  • combine olive oil and lemon juice
  • wisk with fork and pour over bulgar mixture.
  • fluff with fork and refrigerate at least 1 hour. Serve on lettuce leaves.
  • This salad is exceptionally good with roast lamb.
