How to make Cucumber Sandwich

  • Mix sour cream, mayonnaise and dried ranch dip.
  • Rake cucumbers with skin on with fork then slice into thin slices.
  • Slice tomatoes into thin slices.
  • Spread mixture on bread and top with a cucumber slice.
  • Spread a small amount of mixture on top of cucumber slice and top with a tomato slice.
  • Cucumber Sandwich is ready to serve.

    1 pound or 4 Halal Chicken Breast Halves (boneless & skinless)

  • 4 Kaiser Rolls (split & toasted)

How to make Tandoori Chicken Sandwich

  • In large plastic food storage bag, combine chicken breasts and tandoori marinade. Let marinate in refrigerator for at least 2 hours.
  • Remove chicken from marinade. Grill or broil chicken breasts 8-10 minutes or until chicken is cooked through, brushing with additional marinade during grilling.
  • Serve chicken breasts on rolls with lettuce, mayonnaise and raw mango chutney.
  • Tandoori Chicken Sandwich is ready to serve.

How to make Tropical Tuna Sandwich

  • 1/3 cup mayonnaise, regular or low-fat
  • 1/3 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 orange bell pepper, chopped
  • 3 stalks celery, chopped
  • 1/2 teaspoon dried marjoram leaves

How to make Salmon Spread Sandwich

Flake salmon and set aside. Combine mayonnaise and cheese in small bowl and mix well. Stir in salmon along with remaining ingredients. Use immediately or cover and chill up to 3 days. Makes about 4 sandwiches.

  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 pound thinly sliced sirloin steak strips
  • 8 ounces sliced fresh mushrooms
  • 1 green bell pepper, seeded and cut into strips
  • 1 medium onion, sliced
  • 10 slices provolone cheese
  • 1 loaf French bread
  • 1 (14 ounce) can beef broth
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground black pepper
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 2 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
  • 1/8 teaspoon red pepper flakes
  • 1/4 cup Pinot Noir or other dry red wine
  • 1/2 cup prepared horseradish (optional)
  • 1/2 cup brown mustard (optional)

How to make Steak Sandwich Sauce:

  • Heat the oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add the beef, and cook until browned. Add the mushrooms, bell pepper and onion; cook and stir until starting to become tender, about 5 minutes.
  • In a slow cooker, combine the beef broth, salt, pepper, Worcestershire sauce, red pepper flakes and red wine. Transfer the beef and vegetables to the slow cooker, and stir to blend. Cover, and cook on High for 3 to 4 hours, until beef is extremely tender.
  • Preheat the oven to 425 degrees F (220 degrees C). Drain the liquid from the slow cooker, and save for dipping. Slice the French bread loaf lengthwise like a submarine sandwich. Mix together the horseradish and mustard; spread onto the inside of the loaf. Place slices of provolone cheese on both sides of the loaf, then fill with the beef and vegetables. Close the loaf, and wrap the entire sandwich with aluminum foil.
  • Bake for 10 to 15 minutes in the preheated oven. For crunchier bread, you can bake it without the aluminum foil. Slice into servings, and serve with the juices from the slow cooker for dipping.

  • 1 pound beef sirloin, cut into thin 2 inch strips
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/2 teaspoon paprika
  • 1/2 teaspoon chili powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon dried thyme
  • 1/2 teaspoon dried marjoram
  • 1/2 teaspoon dried basil
  • 3 tablespoons vegetable oil
  • 1 onion, sliced
  • 1 green bell pepper, julienned
  • 3 ounces Swiss cheese, thinly sliced
  • 4 hoagie rolls, split lengthwise

How to make Steak Sandwich:

  • Place the beef in a large bowl. In a small bowl, mix together salt, pepper, paprika, chili powder, onion powder, garlic powder, thyme, marjoram and basil. Sprinkle over beef.
  • Heat half of the oil in a skillet over medium-high heat. Saute beef to desired doneness, and remove from pan. Heat the remaining oil in the skillet, and saute the onion and green pepper.
  • Preheat oven on broiler setting.
  • Divide the meat between the bottoms of 4 rolls, layer with onion and green pepper, then top with sliced cheese. Place on cookie sheet, and broil until cheese is melted. Cover with tops of rolls, and serve.

Chicken Tikka Sandwich Recipe

  • Leftover Chicken Tikka (see recipe below)
  • 4 slices of sandwich bread of your choice
  • Butter
  • 1 large onion thinly sliced into rings
  • Juice of 1 lime
  • 1 tsp Chaat Masala (available at most Indian grocery stores)
  • 4-5 tbsps Mint-Coriander Chutney (see recipe below)

How to make Chicken Tikka Sandwich:

  • Put the onion rings in a bowl and squeeze lime juice over them. Now sprinkle the chaat masala over them and mix well so the onions are fully coated.
  • Lay the slices of bread on a clean cutting board and butter. Now spread a generous layer of Mint-Coriander Chutney on the bread.
  • Chop the Chicken Tikka into slices and lay on the bread to cover the entire surface of 2 of the slices.
  • Now add onion as per preference, on top of the chicken.
  • Cover with another slice of bread.
  • Trim edges if preferred and cut in half and serve.

  • 4 whole-wheat bagels, cut in half
  • 2 cups shredded boneless chicken breast, skinless
  • 1/2 cup BBQ sauce (your favorite)
  • 3 tablespoons chopped red onions
  • 1/2 cup chopped fresh cilantro, lightly packed
  • 1 1/2 cups shredded part skim mozzarella
  • 1 cup canned Italian Style diced tomatoes

How to make Chicken Bagel Sandwich:

  • Preheat oven to 400 degrees. Line a jelly-roll pan with foil if desired. Place bagel halves on the lined pan.
  • In medium bowl combine the chicken, barbeque sauce, red onions, fresh cilantro, tossing to blend well.
  • Top each bagel half with 1/4 cup of the chicken mixture, then sprinkle 3 tablespoons cheese over each half. Spoon 1/8 cup of the diced canned tomatoes on top of each bagel half.
  • Bake in center of oven for 10-12 minutes or until cheese is melted and the bagel is nice and hot. Cut each bagel half in half or serve as is!

  • 4 wooden skewers, soaked in water for 30 minutes

The Chicken

  • 1 lb white meat chicken, cubed
  • 1 tablespoon white wine vinegar
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon dried oregano
  • 1 teaspoon dried thyme
  • 1 clove garlic, minced
  • salt

Garlic-Cucumber Sauce

  • 1 cup cucumber, peeled
  • 1 cup plain yogurt
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • salt and black pepper
  • 4 pita breads (the soft flat kind, not pocket bread)
  • 1 cup shredded lettuce
  • sliced red onion
  • 1 tomato, chopped

How to make Shish Taouk Sandwich:

  • Marinate chicken cubes, white wine vinegar, olive oil, oregano, thyme and garlic together overnight in the refrigerator.
  • The next day, prepare a grill or preheat oven to 350 degrees F. Thread chicken cubes onto the prepared skewers, season to taste with salt and grill or bake in a 350 degree F oven for about 15 minutes, until there is no pink inside.
  • Meanwhile, prepare the garlic-cucumber sauce by combining the diced cucumber, yogurt, garlic and salt and pepper.
  • To serve, remove chicken from skewers. Spread pita breads with the garlic-cucumber sauce and top with lettuce, onion, tomato and the chicken cubes. Fold up and serve immediately.
