Gulab Ka Sharbat Recipe

  • 2 cups rose petals (washed well and patted dry on a paper towel)
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1/2 tsp cardamom powder
  • Juice of 2 lemons (strained)
  • 1 cup pomergranate juice (optional)

How to make Gulab Ka Sharbat:

  • Coarsely crush the rose petals in a mortar and pestle and then put into a deep glass bowl. Pour 1 cup of boiling water over the paste and add the cardamom powder. Mix well, cover and allow to steep overnight.
  • In the morning, strain through a very fine sieve.
  • Add the sugar and stir till dissolved – do not heat.
  • When the sugar is dissolved, add in the lemon and pomergranate juices and mix well. The syrup is ready now and can be stored in the fridge for 3-4 days.
  • To serve, pour some syrup into a tall glass, mix with chilled water to taste and add crushed ice.

Rose Lassi Recipe

  • 2 ½ cups of Plain Yogurt (wholemilk or lowfat)
  • ½ cup Fine Sugar
  • 2 tsp. Pure Rose Water (Kewra)
  • ¾ cup Iced Water
  • 1 cup Ice Cubes (cracked)
  • A few Fragrant Rose Petals (optional – for garnish)

How to make Rose Lassi:

  • Blend the plain yogurt , sugar, rose water and iced water in a blender for 2 minutes.
  • Add the ice and process for another 2 minutes.
  • Pour lassi into tall, refrigerated glasses and garnish with rose petals.

Rose Ice Cream Recipe


  • 6½ cups heavy cream
  • 2 tsp rose water
  • ¾ cup granulated sugar
  • ½ tsp red food coloring

How to make Rose Ice Cream Recipe:

  • Combine heavy cream, rose water, sugar and food coloring.
  • Cover the bowl with foil and then place in the freezer for 4 hours or preferably overnight, until set.

Rose Ice Cream Recipe
