Hot Chocolate Ingredients

1/3 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
- 3/4 cup white sugar
- 1 pinch salt
- 1/3 cup boiling water
- 3 1/2 cups milk
- 3/4 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1/2 cup half-and-half cream
How to make Hot Chocolate
- Combine the cocoa, sugar and pinch of salt in a saucepan. Blend in the boiling water. Bring this mixture to an easy boil while you stir. Simmer and stir for about 2
minutes. Watch that it doesn’t scorch. Stir in 3 1/2 cups of milk and heat until very
hot, but do not boil! Remove from heat and add vanilla. Divide between 4 mugs. Add
the cream to the mugs of cocoa to cool it to drinking temperature. -

Hot and Spicy Drumsticks Recipe
Hot and Spicy Drumsticks Ingredients

2 egg whites, lightly beaten
- ½1/2 cup yellow cornmeal
- 2 tsp. chili powder
- ½1/2 tsp. ground cumin
- ¼1/4 tsp. salt
- ½1/2 tsp. Freshly ground black pepper
- 8 chicken legs, skinned ( 4oz each )
- ¼ cup lime or lemon juice
- lime wedges and parsley sprigs for garnish.
How to make Hot and Spicy Drumsticks
- Preheat oven to 400º. Spray a 13”x 9” baking dish with vegetable cooking spray. Set aside.
- Place egg whites in a shallow bowl. On a sheet of waxed papper, combine cornmeal, chili powder, cumin,salt, and pepper. Mix well. Dip chicken legs, one at a time, in egg whites,then dredge in cornmeal mixture, turning to coat.
- Arrange chicken in prepared dish for 20 minutes, turning once. Drizzle with the lime juice and bake until juices run clear when meat is pierced white a fork, about 10 minutes.
- Place chicken on serving plates. Garnish with lime wedges and parsley sprigs.

- 1 c. milk
- 4 lg. eggs
- 2 c. sugar
- 2 c. all purpose flour
- 2 tsp. vanilla shopping list
- 1 tsp. salt
- 2 tsp. baking powder
How to make Hot Milk Cake
- Preheat oven to 350.
- Combine butter and milk in saucepan, bring to boil
- Beat eggs til fluffy.
- Add sugar and beat.
- Add flour, salt, baking powder, and vanilla.
- Add hot milk mix
- Pour into a greased floured tube or bundt pan.
- Bake for 45 mins
- Dust with powdered sugar when cool and serve.

Warm Lentil Salad Ingredients

1/4 cup lentils
- 1/4 cup wild rice
- 1 cup fresh spinach
- 1/2 cup sliced green bell pepper
- 1 scallion, sliced
- 1 teaspoon extra-virgin olive oil
- 1/8 teaspoon black pepper
How to make Warm Lentil Salad
- Separately, cook the lentils and wild rice according to the package directions.
- Meanwhile, pour about 1/2 inch of water into a small saucepan and bring to a simmer over medium-high heat.
- Fit a steamer basket in pan. Place the spinach in steamer, cover, and steam until wilted, 1 to 2 minutes.
- Transfer to a plate.
- Spoon the warm rice and lentils over the steamed spinach.
- Top with the bell pepper, scallion, oil, and black pepper.

2 cups dry potato flakes
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1 tablespoon garlic powder
- 1 tablespoon seasoning salt
- 1 tablespoon ground black pepper
- 2 teaspoons cayenne pepper, or to taste
- 4 (6 ounce) fillets cod
- 2 cups butter flavored shortening, for frying
How to make Hot and Crispy Fish
- In medium bowl, combine the potato flakes, flour, garlic powder, seasoning salt, black pepper, and cayenne pepper.
- Soak fish filets in bowl of cold water.
- In a deep skillet or deep fryer, melt and heat the shortening to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C).
- Dredge fish filets in dry mixture and fry in the hot oil for 5 minutes or until fish flakes apart easily. Remove from oil and place on paper towels to absorb excess oil.

15 whole chicken wings
- 3/4 cup dry bread crumbs
- 2 tablespoons sesame seeds, toasted
- 1 teaspoon paprika
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/3 cup heavy whipping cream
- 1/4 cup butter, melted
How to make Hot Sesame Chicken Wings
- Cut chicken wings into three sections; discard wing tip sections. In a large resealable plastic bag, combine the bread crumbs, sesame seeds, paprika and salt. Place cream in a shallow bowl. Dip chicken wings in cream, then place in the bag and shake to coat evenly.
- Pour butter into a 13-in. x 9-in. baking dish; add chicken, turning to coat. Bake, uncovered, at 375° for 40-45 minutes or until juices run clear, turning every 10 minutes.

Hot Sesame Chicken Ingredients

2 teaspoons cornstarch
- 2 tablespoons rice wine
- 1 tablespoon lemon juice
- 1 tablespoon soy sauce
- 1 dash hot pepper sauce
- 1 tablespoon grated fresh ginger
- 1 clove crushed garlic
- 1 pound skinless, boneless chicken breast halves, cut into bite size
pieces - 2 tablespoons sesame seeds
- 1 tablespoon sesame oil
- 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
- 4 ounces fresh mushrooms, quartered
- 1 green bell pepper, sliced
- 4 green onions, sliced diagonally into 1/2 inch pieces
How to make Hot Sesame Chicken
- To Make Marinade: In a nonporous dish or bowl blend cornstarch with wine or sherry; then stir in lemon juice, soy sauce, hot pepper sauce, ginger and garlic. Blend together and stir in chicken strips. Cover dish and refrigerate to marinate for 3 to 4 hours.
- In a wok or large skillet, place sesame seeds and dry-fry over medium heat, shaking the wok, until the seeds are a golden brown color. Remove seeds and set aside.
- To same wok or skillet add sesame oil and vegetable oil and heat slowly. Drain chicken, reserving marinade, and stir-fry in wok a few pieces at a time, until browned. Remove chicken with a slotted spoon and set aside.
- Add mushrooms and green bell pepper to same wok or skillet and stir-fry for 2 to 3 minutes. Add the scallions and stir-fry 1 minute more. Return chicken to wok, together with reserved marinade, and stir over medium high heat for another 2 to 3 minutes, or until the ingredients are evenly coated with the glaze. Sprinkle toasted sesame seeds on top and serve immediately.

Martha’s Hot Almond Spread Ingredients

1 (8 ounce) package cream cheese, softened
- 1/3 cup mayonnaise
- 3 green onions, chopped
- 1 pinch ground black pepper
- 1 pinch ground nutmeg
- 8 ounces shredded Swiss cheese
- 1/4 cup sliced almonds
How to make Martha’s Hot Almond Spread
- Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C).
- In a medium bowl, combine the cream cheese, mayonnaise, onions, pepper and nutmeg. Stir in the Swiss cheese. Transfer to small ovenproof glass bowl. Sprinkle 1/2 of the almonds on top.
- Bake for 7 minutes. Stir, and bake for an additional 8 minutes. Sprinkle remaining almonds on top, and serve.

Hot Cheddar Olive Bread Ingredients

4 ounces shredded Cheddar cheese
- 1/4 cup creamy salad dressing
- 3 tablespoons finely chopped onion
- 1/2 teaspoon chili powder
- 1 (1 pound) loaf French bread, cut in half lengthwise
- 1 tablespoon sliced ripe olives
How to make Hot Cheddar Olive Bread
- Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C).
- In a bowl, mix the Cheddar cheese, creamy salad dressing, onion, and chili powder. Spread each bread half with an equal amount of the mixture, and top each half with equal amounts olives. Close halves, and cut the loaf into 12 slices. Wrap loaf in aluminum foil.
- Bake 10 to 15 minutes in the preheated oven, until cheese is melted.
