Bottle Gourd Kabab Recipe

Bottle Gourd Kabab Ingredients

    2 cup Grated bottle guord (heaped)

  • 3/4 cup Benga gram dhal
  • 1 tbsp Ginger (cut into strips)
  • 2 tbsp Finely cut onions
  • 1 tbsp Chopped coriander leaves
  • Salt to taste
  • 1/2 tbsp Garam Masala powder
  • Oil for deep fry

GRIND TO PASTE :

  • 2 flakes Garlic
  • 1/4 inch piece Ginger
  • 7 Green chilles

How to make Bottle Gourd Kababs

  • Wash dhall and take in any vessel with grated gourd and ginger strips.
  • Place the vessel in pressure cooker and cook till one sound.
  • To dry excess moisture after food preparation dry roast this in the pan for few minutes (without oil).
  • Mill coarsely and then mix salt, coriander leaves, garam masala, onions and ground insert.
  • Make lemon sized balls and shape like palms.
  • Deep fry in hot oil till crisp.
  • Bottle Gourd Kabab is ready to serve.

    1 medium sized Lauki (Bottle Gourd)

  • A single teaspoon Rai
  • 1-2 Green Chillies
  • Couple of Curry leaves
  • 2 Tomatoes
  • A single Onion
  • 1 teaspoon Ginger-Garlic paste
  • 1/2 teaspoon Haldi powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon Mirchi powder (optional)
  • Only two teaspoon Dhania powder

How to make Lauki Bharta

  • Pressure cook lauki. Mash as well as let it cool.
  • In a kadai warmth oil. Increase rai, chillies, curry leaves, onions as well as saute well.
  • Now increase ginger-garlic paste and fry a couple of minutes. Increase tomatoes and fry until they go darkish.
  • To the add haldi powder, mirchi powder, dhania powder, sodium and the mashed lauki.
  • Mix well, beating the lauki with your cooking spoon (poor lauki!)
  • Since the lauki is cooked this specific dish is ready quickly. Following your mixture all fits in place, turn off heat, garnish with cilantro leaves.
  • Lauki Bharta is ready to serve along with hot roti’s.

    Split Bengal Gram 1/2 cup

  • Bottle Gourd(peeled) 1/2 small
  • Salt to taste
  • Turmeric Powder 1/2 tsp
  • Cumin Seeds 1/2 tsp
  • Green Chillies(chopped) 2
  • Asafoetida pinch
  • Red Chilli powder 1/2 tsp
  • Coriander Powder 2 tsp
  • Tomatoes(chopped) 2 medium
  • Garam Masala Powder 1/2 tsp
  • Sugar 1/4 tsp
  • Lemon Juice 2 tsp
  • Coriander Leaves 2 tbsp

How to make Lauki Chana Dal

  • Soak chana Dal in 1 and half cups of water for an hour.Drain.
  • Boil chna dal and lauki with salt, turmeric powder and 3 cups of water till done.
  • Mash lightly with back of a rounded spoon and mix well.Set aside.
  • Take a non stick pan.Add cumin seeds, green chillies and asafoetida cook for a minutes.
  • Add red chilli powder, coriander powder & 2 tbsp of water till fragrant.
  • Add tomatoes and cook till this soften.Add cook chana dal & stir to mix.
  • Add garam masala powder, sugar and more salt if necssary.Simmer for 2 minutes.
  • Add lemon juice and stir.Garnish with coriander leaves.
  • Lauki Chana Dal is ready to serve.
