    1 (8 ounce) wheel Brie cheese

  • 3 tablespoons apricot preserves
  • 1/2 (17.5 ounce) package frozen puff pastry, thawed
  • 1 egg white

How to make Brie Cheese Appetizer

  • Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). Lightly grease a cookie sheet.
  • Slice one wheel of Brie cheese in half so you have 2 circles of cheese. Spread apricot or peach preserves on (the cut side) half of one circle of brie. Make sandwich out of the two halves of Brie, so that the preserves are in the center of both halves. Wrap the entire wheel of Brie with one sheet of puffed pastry and flip the entire concoction onto the prepared cooking sheet so the seam is on bottom. Brush the puffed pastry with the egg white.
  • Bake for 30 minutes, or until the pastry in golden brown. Serve immediately.
  • Brie Cheese Appetizer is ready to serve.

  • 2 cloves garlic, minced

  • 1 pound mozzarella cheese, sliced
  • 2 tomatoes, thinly sliced
  • 1 (7 ounce) jar roasted red peppers, drained and julienned

  • 4 ounces herbed goat cheese (chevre)
  • 24 almonds
  • 1 tablespoon honey
  • 2 teaspoons balsamic vinegar

How to make Elegant Fig Appetizers with Goat Cheese and Almonds

  • Preheat the oven broiler for high heat.
  • Place the fig halves, cut side up, on a baking sheet. Top each half with about 1/2 teaspoon goat cheese. Place one almond on each, press to push the cheese slightly into each fig.
  • Broil the figs in the preheated oven until the cheese is soft and the almonds are turning a rich shade of brown, 2 to 3 minutes. Remove from the broiler and let cool for 5 minutes. Arrange the figs on a serving platter and drizzle with honey and balsamic vinegar. Serve warm.

Spinach Lasagna Recipe


  • 20 lasagna noodles
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 cup fresh mushrooms, chopped
  • 1 cup onion, chopped
  • 1 tbsp garlic, minced
  • 2 cups fresh spinach
  • 3 cups ricotta cheese
  • 2/3 cup Romano cheese, grated
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1 tsp dried oregano
  • 1 tsp dried basil leaves
  • 1/2 tsp ground black pepper
  • 1 egg
  • 3 cups mozzarella cheese, grated
  • 3 cups tomato pasta sauce
  • 1 cup grated Parmesan cheese


  • Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C).
  • Bring a large pot of lightly salted water to a boil.
  • Add lasagna noodles and cook for 8 to 10 minutes or until al dente; drain.
  • In a skillet over medium-high heat, cook mushrooms, onions, and garlic in olive oil until onions are tender. Drain excess liquid and cool.
  • Boil spinach for 5 minutes.
  • Drain, then squeeze out excess liquid. Chop spinach.
  • Combine ricotta cheese, Romano cheese, spinach, salt, oregano, basil, pepper, and egg in a bowl.
  • Add cooled mushroom mixture.
  • Beat with an electric mixer on low speed for 1 minute. Lay 5 lasagna noodles in bottom of a 9×13 inch baking dish.
  • Spread one third of the cheese/spinach mixture over noodles.
  • Sprinkle 1 cup mozzarella cheese and 1/3 cup Parmesan cheese on top.
  • Spread 1 cup spaghetti sauce over cheese.
  • Repeat layering 2 times.
  • Cover dish with aluminum foil and bake in a preheated oven for 1 hour.
  • Cool 15 minutes before serving.

Ingredients :

  • 115gm cooked peeled prawns, finely chopped
  • 55gm canned water chestnuts, finely chopped
  • 2 spring onions, white part only, finely chopped
  • 1 teaspoon fish sauce
  • 16 won ton skins
  • vegetable oil for deep frying
  • coriander sprig,to garnish
  • Thai dipping Sauce,to serve


  • In a bowl, mix together prawns, water chestnuts, spring onions, fish sauce and black pepper.
  • Place a small amount of prawn mixture in center of each won ton skin.
  • Dampen edges of skins with a little water, then bring up over filling to form a ‘dolly bag’.
  • Press edges together to seal.
  • In a wok, heat oil to 190oC (375oF).
  • Add bags in batches and fry for about 2-3 minutes until crisp and golden.
  • Using a slotted spoon, transfer to absorbent kitchen paper to drain.
  • Serve hot with dipping sauce.
  • Garnish with coriander sprig.

Aloo Baday Recipe

For Balls:

  • 500gm potatoes
  • 1/2 tsp turmeric powder
  • 1 tsp red chili powder
  • 1 tbsp dried pomegranate seeds
  • 1 tsp cumin seeds
  • 2 green chilies,finely chopped
  • salt to taste
  • 1/4 cup fresh coriander leaves,chopped

For Batter:

  • 1/2 cup gram flour
  • salt to taste
  • pinch of baking soda
  • 1/2 tsp red chili powder
  • 1 tbsp oil
  • water as required


  • For the batter,mix batter ingredients and enough water for a thin consistency batter.
  • Boil and skin potatoes.
  • Mash well.
  • Mix balls ingredients in a bowl.
  • Shape into small balls about 1 inch in diameter.
  • Dip in the batter and deep fry in hot oil until golden brown.
  • Aloo Baday is ready to serve.
  • Serve immediately with ketchup/tamarind chutney.

Corn Chips Recipe


  • 2 tbsp Vegetable shortening
  • 2 tbsp yellow cornmeal
  • 1 cup yellow cornmeal
  • 2/3 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 tsp kosher salt
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • 2 tbsp nonfat dry milk
  • 1/2 cup water
  • 1/4 cup vegetable oil
  • 1 tsp Worcestershire sauce


  • Generously grease 2 large cookie sheets with the shortening and sprinkle 1 tbsp of cornmeal into each pan, gently tapping or shaking to distribute cornmeal evenly; set aside
  • Combine the cornmeal, flour, salt, baking powder and nonfat dry milk in a mixing bowl.
  • In a glass measure, combine the water, oil and Worcestershire sauce, mixing well.
  • Make a well in the center of the dry mixture and pour the liquid mixture into the well; stir mixture with a fork to mix well.
  • Turn dough out onto a lightly floured surface and knead until dough is smooth, about 1 minute.
  • Divide the dough in half and place each dough half on the prepared cookie sheets.
  • Using a floured rolling pin, roll the dough directly onto the cookie sheets to spread very thinly, about 1/16-inch thickness.
  • Sprinkle lightly with the desired seasonings and roll-over lightly with the rolling pin to press seasonings in.
  • Using a pizza cutter, cut dough into squares, triangles or other desired shapes.
  • Bake at 350°F (175°C) for about 12 minutes, or until lightly browned. Allow to cool completely on cookies sheets.
  • Store tightly sealed to retain crispness.

  • 1 packet Spaghetti
  • 500gm chicken
  • 1 small Onion
  • 1 cup cabbage,shredded
  • 1/2 cup carrots,shredded.
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper
  • 1/2 tsp crushed red pepper
  • 1 tbsp vinegar
  • 2 tbsp cooking oil


  • Boil the Spaghetti in a large sauce pan. Follow directions on box for cooking.
  • When spaghetti is cooked, rinse with cold water. Set aside.
  • Put oil in a large fry pan and cook the meat. Cook on medium to high heat, till the meat is well done.
  • Now add the carrots and fry for a few minutes. Add the rest of the ingredients, and fry.
  • Keep stirring for a few minutes, now add the spaghetti and mix well.
  • When the spaghetti and vegetables are mixed well, add the vinegar. Cook for another 2 minutes.
  • Now keema noodles is ready to serve.

Macaroni Cheese Recipe


  • 4 cups half and half
  • 8 tbsp butter
  • 2 tbsp all-purpose flour
  • 1 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp dry mustard
  • 1/4 tsp ground black pepper
  • 3 cups mild cheddar cheese, grated
  • 3 cups sharp cheddar cheese, grated
  • 1 pound elbow macaroni


  • Preheat oven to 375 degrees.
  • In a medium saucepan set over medium heat, heat the half and half (do not boil).
  • Add the butter. When butter is melted into the half and half, add the flour while whisking.
  • Continue cooking, whisking constantly, until the mixture is smooth.
  • Remove the pan from the heat. Stir in salt, dry mustard, black pepper, 2 1/2 cups of the mild cheddar cheese and 2 1/2 cups of the sharp cheddar cheese.
  • Set cheese sauce aside.
  • Bring 2 quarts water to a boil.
  • Add the macaroni, cook for the time specified on the package, making sure not to overcook it.
  • Drain immediately and rinse under cold running water.
  • Drain well.
  • Stir macaroni into the reserved cheese sauce.
  • Pour the mixture into a 3 quart casserole dish.
  • Sprinkle remaining 1/2 cup mild cheddar and 1/2 cup sharp cheddar on top.
  • Bake until browned on top, about 20 to 25 minutes.
  • Macaroni Cheese is ready to serve.

Mixed Pakora Recipe


  • 400gm mixed vegetables(carrot,cabbage,courgette etc),grated
  • 1 medium potato,coarsely grated
  • 1/2 small onion,finely sliced
  • 2 eggs
  • 1/2 tsp red chili powder
  • 2 fresh green chilies,finely chopped
  • 150gm chickpea flour
  • 4 tbsp fresh coriander leaves,finely chopped
  • salt to taste
  • oil for frying


  • Blanch the grated carrot, cabbage, courgette and potato (with a little salt), then leave to drain and cool.
  • Put the sliced onion and green chilies in a bowl.
  • Add the vegetables, eggs and red chili powder.
  • Add the flour with some salt and sprinkle some fresh coriander and mix thoroughly.
  • Once mixed drop spoonfuls of the mixture in to your preheated oil.
  • Fry the pakoras until golden brown.
  • Serve hot with mint chutney & tamarind chutney.
