Ingredients:

  • 1 Can frozen orange juice
  • 2 bananas,well ripened and mashed
  • 1-1/2 quarts Vanilla ice cream, softened
  • 2 quarts Milk, well chilled
  • Extra ice cream to float on punch

Method:

  • Place softened ice cream in a large mixing bowl. Beat in orange juice and bananas with electric mixer until well blended.
  • Continue beating and gradually add milk.
  • Beat until smooth and frothy.
  • Float additional ice cream on top.
  • Banana Orange Shake is ready to serve.
  • Serve immediately.

Banana Orange Shake Recipe

Ingredients:

  • 1 Kg Mutton
  • 1 kg Bhindi
  • 1/4 tsp turmeric powder
  • 1 tbsp red chili powder
  • 3 tbsp coriander powder
  • 3 onions  sliced
  • 1/2 cup oil
  • 1 tbsp ginger paste
  • 1 tsp garlic paste
  • 1 tsp garam masala powder
  • 6 cloves
  • 6 black pepper
  • 2 black cardamom
  • salt to taste
  • 1 cup fresh coriander leaves
  • 3 green chilies,chopped
  • 1-2 Lemon

Method:

Fry the onion in oil till brown. Remove the onion and grind.
Add turmeric, coriander,red chili,ginger,and salt in the oil.
Fry with little water till it dries.
Add mutton and ground onion and cook till water dries again.
Add 3 to 4 glasses of water, cover and cook till the meat tenderizes.
When meat is almost done add Bhindi and cook till the Bhindi are done and the required gravy is left.
Cook throughout on low heat.
Garnish with fresh coriander leaves, green chilies and lemon.
Serve with naan or chapati.

Ingredients:

  • 1 kg chicken,cut into medium pieces
  • 2 cups basmati rice
  • 2 medium onions,chopped
  • 1 tbsp ginger-garlic paste
  • 1 large bay leaf
  • 1 tbsp  mint leaves,chopped
  • 2 tbsp fresh coriander to garnish,chopped
  • 1 cup yogurt
  • 1 tbsp turmeric powder
  • 1 tbsp cumin powder
  • 4 green chillies, thinly sliced
  • 2 pieces cinnamon
  • 3 cloves
  • 4 black cardamoms pods
  • 3 tbsp oil
  • 2 tbsp ghee
  • Salt to taste

Method:

  • Washing the rice,soak it in water for 30 minutes.
  • Sauting the chillies in ghee,mix the chilies,ginger,garlic and half the cinnamon, cloves and cardamom together.
  • Grind the mixture into a fine paste.
  • Now add the ground spices along with yogurt to the chicken pieces,marinating for about 30 minutes.
  • Heat the oil or ghee.
  • Add the chicken marinade and rest of the spices and half the onions and cook over a low fire until the chicken is tender.
  • Heat the remaining oil and add the remaining cinnamon,cloves and cardamom.
  • After few minutes add rest of the onions and fry until they are golden brown.
  • Now add the rice and fry until it is slightly brown.
  • At this point,add proportionate water,turmeric and salt.
  • Let the rice mixture cook until the rice is half done.
  • Now add the chicken along with the gravy.
  • Do not mix them,add coriander and mint leaves,placing a tight lid.
  • Let the rice simmer for about 20 minutes.
  • Garnish with some chopped coriander leaves,cashews and a squeeze of lemon.
  • Yummy Chicken Pulao is ready to serve.

Ingredients:

  • 1 kg  mutton, cut into pieces
  • 1/4 cup roasted gram-powdered
  • 1 cup yogurt
  • 1 tbsp roughly chopped ginger
  • onion slices-to garnish
  • lemon wedges-to garnish
  • 1/4 cup raw papaya-chopped
  • salt to taste
  • 1 tbsp peeled garlic

Method:

  • Take the meat pieces and clean and wash them.
  • Now pierce the pieces of meat with a skewer or fork.
  • Grind papaya, peeled garlic and chopped ginger in a mixer to make a paste.
  • Except roasted gram, add all the ingredients to the paste made and marinate for at least 6 hours. It would be better to marinate overnight.
  • Now mix the powdered gram and skewer the meat pieces.
  • Pre heat the oven and bake the meat pieces over a dip-tray for 15-20 minutes.
  • After this lower the temperature and bake for another 10 minutes or till it becomes tender.
  • The pieces can also be grilled on a barbecue.
  • Garnish with the onions and lemon wedges.
  • Boti Kebab is ready to serve.
  • Serve with green chutney.

Ingredients:
For Tomato Sauce:

  • 3 cups tomato, peeled, seeded, and diced
  • 4 green onions, minced
  • 1 jalapeno pepper, seeded and minced
  • 1 tbsp fresh basil, minced
  • 1 tbsp vinegar
  • 2 tsp granulated sugar
  • 1 clove garlic, minced
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 1/4 tsp allspice
  • 1/4 tsp ground red pepper

For Baked Beans:

  • 1 pound dry navy beans
  • 1 1/2 quarts water
  • 1 1/3 cups onion, chopped
  • 6 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tbsp vegetable bouillon granules
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar, packed
  • 1/4 cup chili sauce
  • 3 jalapeno peppers, seeded and minced
  • 3 tbsp vinegar
  • 1/2 tsp ground cinnamon

Method:

  • To prepare Hot Tomato Sauce, combine all sauce ingredients in a small bowl, stir well.
  • Cover and chill at least 24 hours before serving.
  • To prepare Baked Beans, drain and rinse soaked beans.
  • Combine beans, water, beer, onion, garlic, and bouillon in a stockpot.
  • Bring to a boil.
  • Cover, reduce heat, and simmer 1 1/2 hours.
  • Drain bean mixture, reserving 1 1/2 cups liquid.
  • Combine mixture, reserved cooking liquid and remaining ingredients.
  • Stir well.
  • Pour into 2 1/2 quart casserole coated with cooking spray.
  • Bake, uncovered at 350°F for 1 hour and 15 minutes or until beans are tender.
  • Spoon 1 cup beans into individual serving bowl, and top with 1/3 cup Hot Tomato Sauce.
  • Beans In Tomtato sauce is ready to serve.
