Chicken Shashlik Ingredients:

Chicken Shashlik Recipe Picture

  • Boneless chicken breast 1.5-2 lbs.
  • Red onions 2
  • Bell pepper 2 large
  • Tomatoes 4 large
  • Red chili powder 1 tbsp.
  • Salt 1 tbsp.
  • Crushed garlic 2 tbsp
  • Crushed ginger 1 tbsp
  • Corriander powder 1 tbsp
  • Cumin powder 1 tbsp
  • Lemon Juice 2 tbsp.
  • Soy sauce 1/2 cup.
  • Yogurt 1/2 cup

How to make Chicken Shashlik

Prepare marinade:

  • In a large bowl, combine yogurt, soy sauce, lemon juice, red chili powder, salt, crushed garlic, crushed ginger, corriander, and cumin – and mix well
  • Cut bonless chicken breast into squares (roughly 2 inches x 2 inches)
  • Add chicken to the marinade and set aside for 1 to 2 hours
  • Cut onions into four pieces each
  • Cut tomatoes into four pieces each
  • Cut bell pepper into square slices (remove the seeds)
  • Preheat oven to 450 degrees
  • Remove chicken cubes from marinade and put in a baking pan
  • Cover with foil and bake for 30 minutes
  • Check to see if chicken juice is running clear – if not, bake for additional 15 minutes
  • Remove foil, add tomatoes, onions, and bell pepper and broil on low heat for 15 minutes (or longer if desired) to brown the chicken and dry excess water
  • Serve with steamed or brown rice, naan, or garlic bread.

Ingredients

  • 2 slightly beaten eggs
  • salt and ground pepper
  • 1 medium white onion
  • 4 green onions
  • 8 ounces of ham
  • 1 tablespoon peanut oil (for step 1)
  • 1 tablespoon peanut oil (for step 2)
  • 4 cups pre-cooked and refrigerated long grain rice
  • 1.5 ounces of frozen green peas
  • 2 tablespoons Soy sauce
  • 8 ounces cooked shrimp

How to make Fried Chinese Rice

  • Add salt and pepper to the eggs. Chop the onion in 8 parts and dice. Make small slices of ham and dice. Heat the peanut oil in a wok or pan at medium heat. Add the eggs while progressively bringing the cooked parts of the egg in the middle of the wok. Once all cooked, broil the eggs with a spatula. Take out of the wok or pan and leave aside.
  • Heat up over medium-high heat the second tablespoon of peanut oil. Make sure that it is spread and covers the bottom and lower sides of the wok or pan. Add the diced onion and cook until it becomes transparent. Stir in the ham for about 1 minute. Incorporate the pre-cooked rice and sauté for 3 minutes in order to heat it. Add in the eggs, Soya sauce, green onions and shrimps. Reduce the heat to medium. Stir the rice mixture until everything is warm and ready to serve.

Serve 4 people.

Oyster Omelette Recipe

Oyster Omelette Recipe

Ingredients:

  • 6 Oysters
  • 2 tbsp Corn flour
  • 6 Eggs (beaten)
  • 4 Stems (spring onions)
  • 2 Stems coriander
  • 2 tsp Pepper
  • 1 tsp Sesame oil
  • 4 tbsp Peanut oil
  • Salt to taste

Method:

  • Chop the onions and coriander.
  • Wash the oyster and cut them into small pieces.
  • Add corn flour to the pieces.
  • Keep it aside.
  • Add the chopped onions and coriander to the beaten eggs.
  • Blanch the oyster pieces in boiling water.
  • Drain it.
  • Add sesame oil, pepper and salt to it.
  • Mix it well.
  • Heat the peanut oil in a pan.
  • Pour half of the egg mixture and half of the oyster mixture into the pan.
  • Cook till the edges of both the sides of omelet turn slight brown in colour.
  • Oyster Omelette is ready.
